400 years of spiritual darkness has gripped Belgium after 600 reformation churches were destroyed during the Spanish Inquisition. The great majority of the population is culturally Catholic rather than Christian. The Catholic Church faces declining attendance, waning influence, empty seminaries and an invasion of New Age thinking. A lot of churches have declared Belgium a mission field.

Only 0,1 % of all belgians claim to have a relationship with the Lord.
This is very sad, especially if you compare this number with the United States.
